- Carefully pry off the trim around the factory radio and center console using your plastic trim tools.
- Unscrew the mounting bolts and gently pull the OEM unit out.
- Disconnect all OEM harness connectors and antenna plugs from behind the dashboard.
- DO NOT DISCONNECT THE CD PLAYER
2. Transfer Factory Components
- Remove the original dash retaining clips from the OEM trim and transfer them onto the new unit.
- Carefully extract the factory triple gauges from the top of the original dash.
- Transfer and securely mount these gauges into your new Workshop 12 dash bezel.
3. Connect Workshop 12 Harness
- Take the Workshop 12 plug-and-play wiring harness:
- It should perfectly match the main factory plugs (no wire cutting or splicing needed).
- Connect the main harness into the vehicle's OEM connector that was originally plugged into the stock unit.
- Connect the GPS antenna, LTE/4G antennas, and the rest of the auxiliary wires (like USB or RCA inputs) you wish to use from the kit.
4. Test the Screen Functions
- Turn the vehicle on and allow the new screen to power up.
- Verify that the screen turns on correctly.
- If everything is functioning correctly, turn the vehicle off before completing the installation.
5. Mount the New Screen
- Once all harnesses and gauges are connected:
- Align the new 12.1" display with the dash opening.
- Push the trim piece back into place, ensuring the clips seat fully without applying excessive force.
- Please ensure no wires are pinched behind the dash while pushing in the new unit.
