Wiring the Steering Wheel Controls

  • Identify wires: Locate two brown wires labeled key one and key two.
  • Ignore the third plug: There is a third plug that does not fit or connect to anything. (There is no third plug anymore)
  • Cut all wires on this plug: Except, you only need the black wire(s) from this group. (Don't need to do any more)
  • Select any black wire: There are three black wires; all serve as ground, so any one can be used.
  • Connect the ground wire: Strip the black wire and connect it to the yellow and green wire on the main harness.
  • Make key connections:
    • Connect key two (brown wire) to the red and green wire.
    • Connect key one (brown wire) to the orange wire.
  • Use extra wire if needed: For extension purposes, strip and connect wires securely
